Oracle's workforce fell by 1,273 during the second quarter of its 2010 fiscal year, according to an earnings report (PDF) released Thursday. The company's global headcount stood at 83,366 at the end of its second quarter, down from 84,639 in the previous quarter. The majority of the cuts came in Asia-Pacific, followed by Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Americas. Oracle's fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30.
